I observed my mentor deliver a 2 hour workshop on how to coach disabled people in sports.
I felt the sessions was well planned with clear aims and objectives. My mentor had relevant and update resources which he used to engage with the class and used a variety of teaching strategies. At times he was leading the class and then split them up into groups which allowed them to share ideas and practice with each other leading to presenting their views and ideas to the whole group. He finished well and recapped on the sessions to make sure everyone understood.
I thought he could have done brought some practical elements into the sessions such as demonstrating types of actives you can do with disabled participants.
Following on from this I will be delivering certain parts of the course at the next workshop where my mentor will observe me. Good Luck to me !
